Main research fields: Granite geodynamics, magmatism and mineralization, volcanic reservoirs. He has directed 7 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, geological survey, and international cooperation, and participated in 12 projects of 973 Program, key fund, geological survey and others. He has respectively won 1 first class of the scientific and technological achievements of the Ministry of Land and Resources and the achievement prize of China Geological Survey. Mr. Tong has long been devoted to the study of granites in different orogenic belts in China and Asia, mainly focusing on the study of granite magma action and mineralization in the large-scale extension of the Central Asian orogenic belt.
